I bought this to replace an older model that had a pooped out battery. I think the big one should have a slower speed because it works best when it is going slower. Slow speeds increase the likelihood that you are pulling hair out rather than breaking it off. I like this when it just starts running out of charge.
The smaller one takes batteries and I really like it because its not so fast. It is kinda flimsy and the switch to turn it on is really flimsy but it works really well.
I use the epilator to get rid of hairs on my chin that do not belong there. I also use it on my upper lip. The large one is way to strong for the sensitive upper lip but the smaller one just grabs a few hairs at a time and is not so fast so its not so painful.
If you are buying for legs I would not recommend it because it takes forever to do and then as hair starts growing back you get ingrown hairs. Also hair will tend to grow back at different rates so you will have to use it often to keep legs smooth.
I bought this for my chin hair but tried it on legs and under arms. It actually was not too bad for using on the under arms.

Love the mini epilady for my eyebrows, its the perfect size. I've ordered the epilady before and forgot it on our vaca, it really does the job! I use it on my legs and under arms it beat shaving any ! And hair grows back alot thinner. ( By send2karina )

Works well, but not the first time around. I used it everyday for 5 days until I got used to it and all the hair was gone. Now I use it once each week. It was as painful as waxing, only it took longer to get all the hair. It was prolonged torture at first, now it's a breeze. No lumps, bumps, or rashes from wax and razors. I bought this for my wife who has never used one. She loves it. Said it hurt the first time she used it but now its not an issue. She used to shave 3 times a week now she uses this once every week or two and its not an issue. ( By Al R. )

yeah! I love this product.My legs are smooth and lasts so much longer and less hassle then shaving in the shower.It feels a little prickly at first but you get used to it quickly.Wish I would have purchased one sooner.I use the smaller one on my face.
